RULES
Out of Character:
1. Be respectful to your fellow players and staff. Use your head, don't be an asshole. Unless you have the right to be an asshole. If you think you have the right to be an asshole, or think that you're being accused of being an asshole when you aren't, message the staff. 2. It's okay if you disagree, but again, don't be mean about it. And if you really must argue, please take it to private messages/e-mail. 3. Swearing is fine of course, but know your limit. And don't use swearing to insult people. UR A FUCKIN RETARD is not okay. Unless you are just being silly and the person you are insulting is completely aware of your being silly. Then it's fine. 4. Okay so basically, just be curteous and not...awful. Or we will find you. 5. Oh and obey Proboards' commands and shit. Or they will find you.
In Character:
1. No killing off other characters without permission. 2. No godmodding, powerplaying, all that shit. If somebody is doing one of these things or something similar, message the staff and we will deal with it. 3. Don't take everything personally. Not everyone gets along in real life, so obviously some characters won't get along. And that's fine -- don't take your personal issues with a person into character, and don't take your characters' issues with people out of the in-character world. It's not fun for anybody, and frankly, it's annoying and makes you seem immature. 4. Liquid time (being in multiple threads at the same time) is allowed. 5. Anything goes, but if things get too mature (violence, sex, drugs, etc.), please put an 'M' in the title (e.g. Herp Derp Derp [M]), or if it gets really graphic, take it to email. I don't want porn on my forum kthnx. 6. If your character gets pregnant, please wait at least a month before having them have the kid(s). 7. Do not use text speak (unless your character is sending a text message), or wolf speak, or any of that crap. Normal English, please. If we wanted to be confused with how you describe things, we would visit a Chinese roleplaying forum. Unless, of course, one speaks Chinese. In which case they might seek out some other language of roleplaying forum. ANYWAYS none of this crap -- so thn deb sed lol ttly lets goooooo!!!! -- or this crap -- So then Deb, her orbs aglow, swished her furry appendage and walked forward on her pads, agreeing that they should go on. It should be like this: 'So then, Deb jaunted forth, her tail swishing and her face bright. "Totally, let's go!" she cried.' 8. Try to use correct grammar and spelling. It's hard sometimes, we know, but just try.
Character Creation:
1. No perfect characters. They have to have weaknesses. They can't be perfect and amazing and popular and athletic and everything under the sun. People like that don't exist. Or at least, they shouldn't. The ones that do exist are annoying as hell. 2. Don't use others' artwork to represent your character -- you can use free stock photos, linearts, and other such freebies, but don't just copy and paste Goldenwolf's art and be all LOL IT'S MY CHARACTER!!!! No it's not. Somebody paid for that to be made, or it's the artist's character, or whatever. It's not yours. 3. Don't rip off other peoples' characters. You might be totally in love with Alcide from True Blood, or Ginger from Ginger Snaps, but that doesn't give you the right to rip off that character. I'm not saying you can't use those names -- but change the character, man. You'll get called out on it if you rip it off, I assure you. 4. Face claims are unncessary. It exists if you are unable to draw or have someone else draw your character. It's preferred that you use something else, but we understand that not everyone can draw -- so if you really feel it necessary, you can use the face claim. 5. Images/art is not necessary, by the way. You can just go with description if you like. We like imagination yes we do. 6. Be descriptive! We don't have a set number of sentences or whatever, but we'll let you know if there's anything you've really missed out on. 7. You can use our form or yours, but make sure your form covers the basics -- personality, appearance, all that crap. 8. Even with an image, an appearance description is necessary. 9. You can choose to make the history a mystery (lolrhyme), or not. It's up to you.
TL;DR:
don't steal, don't be a dick, follow basic roleplay rules, have fun.
